Preparing for Your Furniture Protection Claim
A little preparation can help make the claims process faster and easier. Follow these steps so we have the information needed to review your claim promptly.

Report the issue as soon as possible
Most plans require accidental damage to be reported within a specific time period. If a spill, stain, or other covered incident occurs, please do not wait to contact us. Even when you are unsure whether the damage is covered, it is best to start a claim so our team can review it.
Take clear photographs
Use your phone to take several well-lit photos, including:
- One photo showing the entire piece of furniture
- A few close-up photos of the damaged area
- Additional angles that help show the location and extent of the damage
Clear photographs help our team understand the issue and determine the appropriate next step.
Describe exactly what happened
When explaining the cause of the damage, please be as specific as possible. For example:
- “I accidentally knocked over a glass of red wine on the sofa.”
This provides more useful information than simply stating that you noticed a stain. Details about what happened, when it happened, and what was affected can help us evaluate the claim more efficiently.
Avoid household cleaners and aggressive scrubbing
We understand the instinct to clean the area immediately, but household chemicals, steam cleaners, and do-it-yourself treatments can sometimes make the damage worse.
If your protection plan included an approved cleaning kit, follow the instructions provided with that kit. Otherwise, avoid applying products or attempting repairs until you receive guidance from our team.
Have your purchase information available
Keeping your sales receipt, protection-plan number, or other purchase information nearby can help us locate your account quickly.
Cannot find it? Contact the retailer where you purchased the furniture or reach out to us for assistance.
